Clear the minefields
Vieques is a minesweeper puzzle game set in the tropical waters off Vieques, Puerto Rico. Steer your boat through 14 minefields, uncover tiles carefully, and pick an upgrade after every cleared field to bring the island's waters back to life.
How to play
Sail the map, pick a minefield, and look under its tiles one by one. A number tells you how many mines touch that tile; flag the ones you're sure about. Uncover every safe tile to clear the field.
After each cleared minefield you choose an upgrade: a heart lets you survive a detonation, a radar lets you uncover any tile safely, mine or not. Clear all 14 minefields and you win.
In a hurry? Quick Game drops you straight into a single 50-mine field with 3 radars.

The real story
From the 1940s to 2003, the U.S. Navy used the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, for bombing exercises and live-fire training. Unexploded ordnance from those years is still being cleared from its land and waters today. This game is inspired by that history, but it is a work of fiction: its events and weapons take creative liberties and should not be viewed as an accurate portrayal of what happened on the island.
